FAQ

We're so excited to have you celebrate our wedding! Here are some answers to frequently asked questions.

Where do I park?
The ceremony and reception are at different venues. How should I get there?

We are providing shuttles! Please see the day of schedule for pickup and drop off info.

If you live in the city and plan to forgo the shuttles, please make sure to arrive on time as we are maintaining a strict schedule.

What are these pink tickets with the invitations?

We are having our reception at a concert hall! Please use these as your entry ticket to help expedite security as you enter. One ticket per person.

If you want one as a keepsake, let us know. We have a couple of extras. :)

If forget your ticket, you will need to verify your name at the door to enter.

Can I bring my suitcase to City Hall and then go to the hotel after the ceremony?

Please do not bring any extra items to City Hall.

Everyone will need to pass through security, including bag check and metal detectors, so it will be much quicker if you only have what you need for the ceremony. You can drop off your luggage at the hotel before heading to the ceremony.

Can I bring my kids?

We love your kids! Though for our wedding we ask that the little ones stay home. Please stick to the guests listed on the RSVP.

What should I wear?

We'd love for you to get dressed up! Think: glamorous and comfortable enough to dance!

The ceremony is black tie optional. You can wear the same for both events, or if you want to change into something else, the reception is black tie optional or cocktail, prefer danceable.

There's a break between the ceremony and the reception, what should I do?

The hours between 2 pm and 5:45 pm are your oyster. :) You can go to lunch, rest at the hotel, or explore SF. Some inspiration listed below.

Lunch in SF

There is some really fantastic food in San Francisco! Here are a few spots to check out:

  • Close to the hotels: E&O Kitchen and Bar for Asian-fusion sit-down, Wayfare Tavern for American, Kokkari Estiatorio for elevated Greek, House of Nanking for Chinese
  • Close to City Hall, walk to Hayes Valley: A Mano for sit-down Italian or Souvla for convenient lunchtime Greek

Afternoon Activities

  • Cable Car Museum: free entry and only a couple blocks from the hotels. Check out the history of the cable car and see the giant turn wheels that power them today!
  • Ride the Cable Cars: download the muni app for a day pass if you want to ride it more than once.
  • Grab a drink: there's the Tonga Room tiki bar, cozy Zekis with a fireplace, and plenty of options 2 blocks downhill in Union Square. Though remember—we'll have a full bar for you at the reception!
I'm in SF for a few days and want to get dinner. Any recs?

SF has so much delicious food it's hard to narrow it down! Some of our faves:

  • Best Burrito: La Taqueria. Now Michelin-recommended so there is a line, but it's worth it!
  • Best Italian But You Didn't Make a Reservation: Poesia in the Castro for food + vibes, Caffe Fiore in the Mission for great food and never crowded
  • Most Cheese: Matterhorn for fondue in a Swiss-themed chalet
  • Best American Sit-Down You'd Take Your Parents To: Foreign Cinema
  • Most Reasonable Bang-For-Your-Buck Sushi: Sake Bomb
  • Best Thai Food Feast: Farmhouse Thai
  • Best Loaf of Bread that also has cafe food: Tartine Manufactory
  • Best Reasonably-Sized Breakfast Burrito: Breakfast Little
  • Best Coffee: Grand Too
  • Destination Restaurants: Michelin guide for SF

Huh, a lot of these are near 22nd St in the Mission. Weird.
